Laayoun El Hassan I Airport achieved an air traffic increase of 7.52 per cent in 2018. According to the National Airports Authority, the number of passengers who crossed this airport during the period mentioned 221,784 passengers, compared with 206 thousand and 274 passengers in 2017.

The source added that Laayoun El Hassan I Airport recorded 0.98 per cent of the total number of passengers at the Kingdom´s airports, which amounted to 22,354,771 compared to 20,406,160 passengers in 2017, thus ranking ninth at the national level in 2018.

During last December, the volume of air traffic at Laayoun El Hassan I reached 18 thousand and 505 passengers, an increase of 97. 0 per cent over the same period in 2017.

The Kingdom´s airports recorded a 1,900,000 and 710 passengers´ movements last December, an increase of 10.71 per cent over the same period in 2017.
