The expansion and upgrading of the Casablanca Mohamed V Terminal building 1, inaugurated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on Tuesday, will raise the overall capacity of the airport to 14 million passengers per year.

Air transport at Casablanca Mohamed V International Airport has registered between 2009 and 2018 an estimated growth in terms of numbers of passenger of 5% and 2.5 percent in terms of aircraft movements.

Thus, the number of passengers in this airport increased from 6.3 million passengers in 2009 to 9.7 million in 2018, and the movement of aircrafts increased from 69 thousand and 119 in 2009 to 86 thousand and 565 in 2018.
