Passenger traffic at Marrakech International Airport increased by 20.92% last year compared to the previous year.

According to the Moroccan Airport Authority statistics, five million and 279,775 passengers used Marrakech Menara airport in the period between January 1st and December of last year, compared to 4 million 366 thousand and 263 passengers in 2017.

On the other hand, the same source pointed out that last December, a total of 489,250 passengers used Marrakech Menara airport during this period, compared to 403 thousand and 551 passengers during the same period of 2017, a growth rate of 24, 21 percent .

As for the first five routes in terms of passenger traffic during the past year, the Marrakech-Paris-Orly air service ranked second with 5,902 passengers (representing 94.9 per cent of the total air transport traffic in the Kingdom) and air service between Marrakech and Gatwick in London ranked in the fifth position with 352 thousand and 617 passengers (76.1 per cent).
