As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen joint Arab cooperation in the field of civil aviation, the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) and the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday, 27 July 2026, in the presence of H.E. Pilot Dr. Sameh Ahmed Zaki El Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation of the Arab Republic of Egypt and President of the General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on behalf of ACAO by H.E. Eng. Khalid Cherkaoui, Director General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, and on behalf of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority by Captain Sameh Mohamed Fawzy, President of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority. 

The signing of this Memorandum reflects the strong and longstanding relationship between ACAO and the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, as well as the shared commitment of both parties to further expand cooperation and exchange expertise in support of joint Arab action and the continued development of the civil aviation sector.

Both parties emphasized that this Memorandum represents a new milestone in their institutional partnership and reaffirms their commitment to strengthening coordination and cooperation in a manner that contributes to the sustainable development of the Arab civil aviation sector and promotes greater integration among Arab civil aviation institutions.
