The Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) participated in the first meeting of the Steering Group in preparation for the 14th session of the ICAO Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP), hosted by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Singapore from 1 to 5 December 2025.

Arab member states of the ICAO Environmental Protection Committee participated in this meeting: the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

This session constituted a notable milestone for the Arab Group, marked by the appointment of Engineer Maryam Al Balooshi, representing the United Arab Emirates, as Chair of ICAO’s Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP).
During this session, the latest developments since the 13th Committee meeting were reviewed, as well as the reports of the working groups under the Environmental Protection Committee, including:
    • the Forecasting and Economic Analysis Support Group (FESG),
    • the Modeling and Databases Group (MDG),
    • the Long-Term Aspirational Goal Task Group (LTAG-TG),
    • the CORSIA Group (WG4),
    • the Fuel Task Group (FTG),
    • the Emissions Task Group (WG3),
    • the Noise Task Group (WG1), and
    • the Airports and Operations Task Group (WG2), among others.
