The fifty-fourth meeting of the Air Transport Committee was held at the headquarters of the Organization in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, during the period 26–27 November 2025, with the participation of eight committee members representing the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Morocco, and the Republic of Yemen, while the Syrian Arab Republic, the State of Libya, and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania took part in the committee’s work as observers. 
The committee’s work was opened by His Excellency Eng. Abdennebi Manar, Director General of the Organization, who welcomed the committee members and observers, and commended the contribution of the Air Transport Committee members through working papers submitted on behalf of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization during the 42nd Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which received broad support and endorsement from many States. He praised the work of the task force on updating agreements and the progress achieved, and urged the importance of completing the amendment of the Arab air transport agreements, preferably before the next session of the Organization’s General Assembly, wishing all participants success in the committee’s work.

Mr. Salem bin Hamad bin Said Al-Husseini, representative of the Sultanate of Oman and Chair of the Committee, also delivered his remarks, thanking all those participating in the fifty-fourth meeting of the Air Transport Committee, whether attending in person or remotely, and wishing them success in their work. 

Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Mostafa, Air Transport Expert at the Organization, likewise welcomed the attending members and observers and wished everyone success. 
The committee discussed the items on its agenda, issued recommendations on them, and set a tentative date for its next meeting to be held in March 2026 at the headquarters of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization in Rabat, unless one of the Member States requests to host the meeting.
