The Arab Civil Aviation Organization, with the support of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Arab Republic of Egypt, organized a workshop on “Best Practices for Technological and Operational Improvements to Protect the Environment” in the city of Casablanca in the Kingdom of Morocco during the period from 19 to 21 November 2025.

This event provided an opportunity for participants to learn about the latest technological innovations and key operational improvements in the field of environmental protection in the aviation sector, whether from the perspective of civil aviation authorities or airlines. The discussions covered a number of topics, including increasing engine efficiency, improving air traffic management in ways that help reduce emissions, and implementing operational practices that lessen the carbon footprint, thereby strengthening compliance with Annex 16 in all its parts.

This workshop falls within the framework of strengthening adherence to internationally adopted environmental standards, particularly those contained in Annex 16 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation (ICAO), which concerns noise and emissions.
