1 The Spanish Aviation Safety and Security State Agency (AESA) of the kingdom of Spain and the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) desiring to establish mutual cooperation to promote safe, efficient, and sustainable development of civil aviation.

2 under this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), The Participants intend to collaborate for both mutual interest and benefit. MOU’ primary objectives are to establish the framework for the international technical cooperation between the Signatories in different civil aviation disciplines, which includes, but is not limited to, safety, security, environment, air navigation and economic oversight of air transport.

3 The MOU was signed by HE Mrs. Montserrat Mestres Domenech, Executive Director of the AESA, and Mr. Manar Abdennebi Director General of ACAO, in videoconference ceremony that took place, the 21st March 2024.

4 Aware of the importance of this step and the objectives envisaged through it, the ACAO and AESA have expressed their willingness to support this MOU and to seek the success of its endeavors in a context and harmony that serves the common interest and the development of the aviation sector, in order to reach safe, secure and regular air transport and participate in sustainable development.
