Issue 53 of "Arab Aviation" magazine is published

The Arab Civil Aviation Organization issued Issue 53 of “Arab Aviation” magazine for the month of January 2024.

In his editorial, His Excellency Engineer Abdennebi Manar, Director General of the Arab Aviation Organization, touched on the continued recovery of the civil aviation sector during the last quarter of 2023, and the growing orders of air transport companies to acquire a large number of aircraft in the future, indicating that this period the aviation sector witnessed important international and regional events, it culminated in important decisions that support the sustainability of air transport activity.


In the editorial of the issue, Engineer Manar referred to the forum of the late Dr. Asaad Qutait, which was organized in the second week of October, despite the geopolitical situation in the region, as it was an occasion to recall part of the memory of the achievements of the International Civil Aviation Organization, supervised by leaders and ministers who contributed to implementing the principles of the Chicago Convention. To create an air transport system capable of adapting to developments in the international environment.


The writer recalled the pioneering role of the late Dr. Asaad Kotaite and his distinguished vision in developing international civil aviation, describing him as a tireless defender of aviation safety, and the founder of a strong system that includes strict standards, protocols, and mechanisms, to work to raise indicators of commitment and implementation, in an effort to gain the confidence of air travelers and users, transforming air travel into a smoother and more enjoyable experience for millions of people.
The new issue also included reports on “the best hub airports” and “the escalation of competition in the Middle East coinciding with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to realize Vision 2030” and an article by air traffic control Officer Jilan Al-Sayyed Yasser Ali on the topic: “The continued growth of the air transport industry and the enormous pressure that it has created, and the infrastructure challenges of the aviation system”.


Captain Dina Abdel Ghani wrote an article entitled: “Guardians of the Sky,” in which she touched in detail on the challenges facing air traffic control officers.


The issue also included a schedule of workshops and training that the organization will organize during the year 2024, the organization’s activities during the last quarter of last year, and a number of Arab aviation news.
