The ACAO attended the Third China-Arab States BDS Cooperation Forum (Hybrid event) the 08 December 2021. The forum was attended by distinguish from Ambassies of Arab States, the League of Arab States and its relevant organisations as well as representatives from China side both governmental and private sectors.

China and the Arab states will jointly implement pilot projects in key domains in the application of BDS as one of the GNSS (global navigation satellite system) provider, over the 2022-2023 period, according to a cooperation action plan signed at the forum. The same plan mentioned China will provide scholarships for up to five navigation and communication major students from Arab States for their master's degrees in the field and both sides will also exchange academic visitors annually.

In addition, China Beidou Telecommunication and information center and Arab Information and communication Technologies (AITCO) signed a letter of Intent for cooperation on joint test on BDS MEOSAR and Return Link.

ACAO provided a presentation on its Aviation GNSS Strategy highlighting the near-, mid- and long-term approach as well as the associated roadmap, emphasising that ACAO is welcoming any mutual cooperation to extend the aviation service area to the Arabic states, member of ACAO.
