A delegation of members of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization visits ISESCO headquarters in Rabat

Rabat - Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Al-Malik, Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) received at the organization's headquarters in Rabat today, Friday (2 July 2021), a delegation of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, which included Captain Haitham Mesto, President of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, Engineer Abdenbi Manar, Director General of the organization, and other members of the Executive Council.



During the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Abdelilah Benarfa, Deputy Director General of ISESCO, and a number of directors, head of departments and advisors in the organization, Dr. Al-Malik presented overview of ISESCO, the most prominent axes of its strategic vision and action plans, and the modernization achieved during the past two years in terms of the organization's work mechanisms.



He referred to ISESCO's openness to cooperate with regional and international organizations and bodies and its readiness to build partnerships with them, for the benefit of member states and Muslim communities around the world.



For his part, Captain Misto expressed his happiness and the members’ of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization to meet with the Director General of ISESCO and the leaders of the organization, noting the role that ISESCO plays in its fields of competence, and in presenting the true and correct image of Islamic civilization and culture to the world.



He explained that civil aviation has become more than just a means of transportation, a lever to achieve development, as it is not possible to imagine tourism or international trade exchange without aviation emphasizing that he looks forward to enhanced cooperation between the two organizations.



After that, ISESCO sector managers reviewed the most prominent initiatives, programs and activities that the organization is currently implementing, in cooperation with the competent authorities in the member states, and presented axes of cooperation meant to be developed between ISESCO and the Arab Civil Aviation Organization.



The delegation of the Executive Council of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization concluded its visit to ISESCO with a tour inside its headquarters, which included ISESCO Contemporary Art Gallery, which will host the plastic exhibition “In the Footsteps of Fatima al-Fihri”, composed by a large number of paintings created by Moroccan artists.
