Casablanca - Eng. Abdenbi Manar, Director General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, attended the opening of the ninth meeting of experts in charge of the amendment of the agreement on the exchange of customs taxes and fees exemptions related to the activities and equipment of the Arab air carriers, which was held in Casablanca, Kingdom of Morocco on February 18 2020.

His Excellency welcomed the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Arab League headed by Dr. Dina Al-Zahir, Director of Transport and Tourism Department of the League and members of the delegations participating in the meeting and wished them a pleasant stay and success in their works to achieve the desired outcome and further progress and growth for the air transport sector, which contributes significantly to the development of the national economy of Arab countries.

Member States discussed during the meeting, the proposed amendments to the agreement, introduced the requested modifications prior to finalizing the agreement.

The meeting concluded with the decision to submit the amendment proposal of the agreement on the exchange of exemptions from customs taxes and fees related to the activities and equipment of the Arab air carriers to the Council of Arab Transport Ministers.
