The sixth coordination meeting between international and regional organizations in the field of civil aviation held in the Middle East

KUWAIT, Nov. 3 - The sixth coordination meeting between international and regional civil aviation organizations in the Middle East was held in Kuwait on Sunday.

 

A high-level delegation from the Arab Civil Aviation Organization headed by HE Eng. Abdul Nabi Manar, Director General of the Organization accompanied by Eng. Mohamed Rejeb Safety and Air Navigation expert, attended the meeting.

 

Participants discussed issues related to civil aviation, bilateral and regional cooperation facilitation in areas of common interest in order to identify joint programs and priorities, enhance safety, absorptive capacity, efficient air navigation and security, protect aviation environment, avoid duplication and unify efforts in the region for the period 2020-2022. The meeting concluded with the adoption of the joint plan between the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Air Navigation Service Organization (CANSO) for the period 2020-2022, where 60 workshops / seminars and/or training courses in various fields of civil aviation are expected to be conducted in order to enhance staff efficiency in this sector and raise the level of safety in the Arab region on the overall.


Eighteen participants (18) from four international and regional organizations and representatives of the State of Kuwait attended the meeting.
