In the framework of the cooperation between the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) based on the MOU signed in 2021, to renew their commitment for providing aviation training for the civil aviation sector in the Arab region, a training course on “Customised Air Operator Certification and Surveillance for Flight Operations Inspectors” has been conducted as an implementation of the on-site training part of the MOU.
The event, jointly organized by the ACAO and CAAS, was successfully held from 29th May to 2nd June 2023. The Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (J-CARC) played a pivotal role in hosting this significant training program.
The training course spanned five days, incorporating a comprehensive range of interactive sessions, case studies, and practical exercises. Participants had the opportunity to delve into various topics, including learn the best practices in safety Oversight, review and approval or acceptance of Operations Manual or plan a risk-based surveillance program.
Bringing together aviation professionals, experts, and regulators from across the region, the training course aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of flight operations inspectors involved in air operator certification and surveillance processes. By fostering collaboration and sharing best practices, the course aimed to strengthen the overall safety and efficiency of flight operations within the Arab region.
The collaboration between ACAO, Singapore CAA, and CARC highlighted the commitment of aviation authorities to promoting safety, efficiency, and harmonization in flight operations. The event successfully fostered networking and collaboration among participants, creating a robust platform for future information sharing and cooperation. The impact of this regional training program is expected to be felt throughout the aviation community, positively influencing flight operations and ensuring a safer sky for all.
