MEDIA RELEASE Signature of MOU between ACAO & FAA Cooperation in field of Civil aviation

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) department of transportation, United States of America and the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) desiring to establish mutual cooperation to promote safe, efficient, and sustainable development of civil aviation.


 

under this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), The Participants intend to collaborate for both mutual interest and benefit. MOU’ primary objectives are to further knowledge, awareness, and development of capabilities related to civil aviation including strengthening cooperation between the Participants through stronger working relationships between the ACAO and the FAA as well as share certain information and data so that mechanisms for consultation and cooperation may be improved.


 

The MOU was signed by HE Mr. Puneet Talwar Ambassador of United States of America in Morocco, on behalf of the FAA, and Capt. Haitham Misto, chairperson of the ACAO Executive Council, on the sidelines of the 66th Executive Council, held in Rabat, Morocco, the 20th December 2022. The signing was witnessed by Eng. Abdennebi Manar, DG of ACAO, and Mr. Mohamad Kushan FAA Senior Representative, Middle East and North Africa.


 

Aware of the importance of this step and the objectives envisaged through it, the ACAO and FAA have expressed their willingness to support this MOU and to seek the success of its endeavors in a context and harmony that serves the common interest and the development of the aviation sector, in order to reach safe, secure and regular air transport and participate in sustainable development.
