The ACAO 49th Safety Committee meeting ASC/49 has been conducted under Hybrid form, in the HQ of ACAO, Rabat, Morocco, the 9 -10 November 2022 from 08:30 to 13:30. Eng. Manar Abdennebi DG of the ACAO opened the meeting welcoming the participants. The meeting has been chaired by Mr. Ali Neemat Rasham representative of the State of Iraq, the Vis Chairperson Mr. Ammous mohamed attended the meeting in person. The secretariat was ensured by Hicham Bennani Safety Expert within the ACAO.

The meeting was attended by a total of 14 participants from 11 States (7 Members and 4 Observers) and 3 Organisations.

 In addition to the review of the list of actions and decisions taken as result of the previous session, the meeting adopted a series of recommendations regarding the implementation of MENA ARCM (outcomes of the 1st & 2nd meeting), the MENA RSOO (updates on the latest evolution), and outcomes of the ICAO Assembly A41 in the field of technical Commission as well as the ACAO Plan of activities for 2023-2025.

The meeting also approved a new mechanism (Twinning) proposed by the ACAO secretariat regarding the assistance of the ACAO states members requesting it, which will be presented to the ACAO governing bodies for endorsement.
