The eighth meeting of ACAO’s civil aviation security expert group in Muscat

The ACAO’s Civil Aviation Security Experts group held its eighth meeting (08) in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, on 26 and 27 June 2022. Eleven aviation security experts from the aviation authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Iraq, the Sultanate of Oman, and the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and the Republic of Yemen, participated to this meeting.

 

During the meeting, Engineer Nasser bin Abdullah Al Jassasi from the Sultanate of Oman was chosen as the chairman of the group, and Engineer Haider Hussein Ali from the Republic of Iraq as vice chairman.

 

During the meeting, the attendees discussed issues related to aviation security developments. It was agreed to prepare models and guiding materials to help countries prepare and develop licensing and accreditation programs, risk assessment programs, and other related topics.

 

In the same context, the participants agreed to further coordination regarding issues of common interest and to establish a continuous work program and permanent coordination between them to implement their mandated tasks.
