Mr Paul Evans

Security Technology Manager at Heathrow

Paul joined Heathrow Airport in 1997 as an Engineering apprentice. Throughout his career he has worked across a wide variety of engineering functions, with considerable experience in the hold and cabin baggage domains. Paul currently works within the Security Intelligence Team and is responsible for seeking out technology and innovations to mitigate and eliminate threats to the airport and aviation security.

Paul chairs the ACI-Europe Security Technology Panel and is an observer on behalf of ACI-E at the ECAC Technical Task Force. He has developed equipment catalogues and operational assessment documentation in an effort to standardise the common testing standards across member countries airports.

In his spare time Paul harmonises his passion for aviation and travel. He has been fortunate enough to visit many countries, he values different cultures and has a particular love for foreign cuisine which he lovingly recreates when back home.
