Marrakech - The MEBAA Show Morocco 2019, in its third edition, in Marrakech, on 25 and 26 September, was an opportunity to shed light on the latest developments, highlight the major opportunities and challenges of the private aviation sector and revitalize Morocco´s business aviation and boost its growth potential. Mohamed Sajid, Minister of Tourism, Air Transport, Handicrafts and Social Economy of Morocco, stated in a press statement on the opening ceremony of this event, the added value of the event for Morocco, while Ali Ahmed Al Naqbi, President of the Special Aviation Union for the Middle East and North Africa, focused on the future prospects of this event, which is organized In Morocco, every two years, alternately with the exhibition "MEBAA Show" in Dubai, in terms of development opportunities wishing to make it one of the largest international exhibitions.
A Side of the Marrakech Airshow
The event, organized by the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) in partnership with the National Airport Authority (ONDA) and the Ministry of Tourism, Air Transport, Handicraft and Social Economy of Morocco, is part of a protocol agreement between the National Airports Authority and the Middle East and North Africa Private Aviation Federation. Spanning over 10 years, five business aviation exhibitions were organized in Morocco, with the first session being held in Casablanca in 2015 at Mohammed V Airport, and the second in 2017 in Marrakech.
Morocco´s business aviation sector, according to the National Airport Authority, has promising development qualifications due to the country´s geographical location and economic dynamism. They are internationally renowned, in the aviation pole of Nouaceur, in addition to the availability of high quality airport facilities.
Space for dialogue and consultation
The Private Aviation and Business Aviation Association of the Middle East and North Africa (MEBAA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 to represent private aviation and business aviation players in the Middle East and North Africa region and is a member of the World Private Aviation Council (WACA). Private aviation operators in the MENA region express their needs and the interests of the various players in this promising development sector.
The association represents more than 270 companies in the Middle East and North Africa and provides a number of products and services to members, including organizing events to provide a platform for member discussions and ensuring that the business aviation community remains at the forefront of the ever-changing industry.
